The Department of Computer Science & Engineering commenced from the academic year 1999 with intake capacity of 40 students. It was increased to 60 in the year 2000 and further increased to 120 seats in the year of 2006 and Started M.Tech Course in the year 2009 with an intake of 18 seats.
Sri B.M.G Prasad is head of the department having good teaching experience and two years of industrial experience. He has done his B.Tech at Vijaya Nagar Engineering College, Bellary in 1997.He completed his M.Tech at J.N.T.U College of Engineering Anatapur in 2003 and now he is perusing his Ph.D in computer science at J.N.T.U, Hyderabad. He has published one paper in the I-Manager’s journal in the networks area. His areas of interest are Software Engineering, Wireless networks, Image Processing etc.
The department is having sophisticated computer labs with advanced configuration. Core facilities such as computer center, lecture halls, libraries, audio and visual exhibits are available in the college to give the academic program the required thrust.
The department has well qualified and experienced faculty. An experienced and dedicated faculty imparts quality training to students, with solid emphasis on understanding the fundamentals
and intricacies of the subjects concerned and subsequently applying them to solve problems. The Department excels in all the state-of-art technologies. The Department is also equipped with excellent infrastructure and latest equipment to explore technological advancements in the relevant fields. The Department has latest labs equipped with highly advanced software and tools.
